Nutrition Support Group

The Nutrition Support Group meets the first Thursday of every month. Any patient currently undergoing cancer treatments or have been recently diagnosed are invited to join Clinical Dietician, Vicky Kottyan RD, LDN for the Nutrition Support Group. This new mother support group meets the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month from 9:45-11 a.m. at Kids City, the children’s worship center for the gathering in downtown Albemarle. Classes focus on a variety of topics to give new moms the support they need to keep them and their newborn healthy. This support group meets in a relaxed atmosphere where you are free to ask questions to healthcare professionals and other moms. Come as our guest, leave as our friend. Stroke Support Group

Individuals recovering from a stroke as well as their caregivers are encouraged to attend monthly meetings of the Stroke Support Group at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m. in the private dining room of the Forest Hills Café, located on the first floor of the hospital.
